Working with the Tinsley Telescope

BobAnnMcGovern's picture

On the evening of October 25th, I was able to take a few images with the 12" Tinsley telescope before the wind got too strong to continue. This image was taken with a Canon XSi DSLR at prime focus using the Canon EOS remote camera control on my laptop. This is the result of 2 images taken through a green filter and stacked and sharpened in PhotoShop. The camera settings were: ISO 1600, exp. = 1/50 sec. at f/ 16 (prime focus). This is a fun telescope to use and I'm looking forward to trying some video imaging on Jupiter soon.
